- Using inches for measuring diameter and length; diameter of bag x 3.14 x length of bag (in feet) divided by 12 x number of bags = Sq Feet of cloth divided by 1000 = lbs of Tracer compound needed.

- Formula; find your sq ft. of filter cloth; Use 1 lb of precoat for every 20 sq. ft. of filter cloth.
